Floating Roof Rainwater Drainage Valve

Self-actuated valve for draining rainwater from floating roof storage tanks.

The TOR valve allows normal rainwater drainage from floating roofs and automatically closes when hydrocarbon enters the roof drain line, helping prevent product discharge.

HOW IT WORKS

Rainwater Drainage
Rainwater is drained from the floating roof through the roof drain line.

Hydrocarbon Detection
The calibrated float responds when hydrocarbon enters the drain line.

Automatic Shutoff
The valve closes automatically to help prevent hydrocarbon discharge.

  Basic Installation instruction:
 

  1. In a vertical position (to be performed using a level measuring device to ensure accuracy)

  2. Firmly positioned and held securely

  3. As close to the storage tank as possible

  4. Drainage from the “S” tube is to the ground.  If the drainage is to be channeled by a pipe
    to 
    a drain, ensure that there is an air gap between the end of the “S” tube and the drainpipe.

  5. A By-Pass Valve, (not provided) must be installed.
